Associate Project Manager – IT |
Responsibilities: |
• Establish and maintain policies and procedures for systems administration, standard operations, server backup, security, email, software licenses, anti-virus protection, change management, and disaster recovery.
• Oversee deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, data loads, upgrade, and support of the Oracle- based data warehouse.
• Support program objectives from technical, budget and outcome perspective.
• Supporting the client through early problem detection, idea generation, developing creative solution, and advising on "best practices”.
• Works collaboratively with other entities to achieve program success.
• Be a team player in coordinating and managing a project team that is developing and maintaining a large Federal data warehouse and tools. Assign and manage appropriate resources.
• Plans, estimates, coordinates, and executes system developmental projects
• Manages the change control process and resulting work load.
• Assist with developing proposals, work plans, schedules, and implementation strategies.
• Introduce and enforce project standards
• Facilitate discussion and issue resolution between the client, business teams, and the IT project team.
• Identify obstacles to implementation and develop strategies to overcome.
• Support software and system testing during development and installation.

Required Elements: |
• 5-8 years experience and related degree. Minimum of 3 years hosting experience, with at least 5 years in project management role for progressively large projects.
• PMP Certification is desirable
• Experience with Federal government IT systems
• Strong, end-to-end understanding and experience with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
• Demonstrated knowledge of project planning, tracking and reporting
• History of successful project planning, analysis, metrics, risk/cost/change management skills
• Experience in hardware and software upgrade planning
• Experience in a rapid paced, time-sensitive, high-quality environment
• Strong problem solving and innovative capabilities and the ability to visualize and communicate solutions
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Professional, pleasant, and polished demeanor

Responsibilities: |
• Help client organizations achieve results and measurably improve their organizational performance.
• Lead teams coordinating strategic planning, human capital assessment, change management, leadership
• Performing operational control for two to three person teams.
• Evaluate and support employee development and process improvement activities.
• Develop proposals, work plans, schedules, and implementation strategies.
• Achieve cost, schedule, and quality metrics under the Project Manger’s supervision.
• Function as primary point of contact and build effective relationships with assigned clients.
• Travel to client sites as necessary.

• BS+ in Organizational Development, Human Resource Management, or equivalent required
