Steve Goodrich
President
Steve Goodrich is the Founder and President of COE and is a nationally known speaker, author, teacher, and strategist on leadership, organizational effectiveness, and human capital. For 30 years, he has been helping clients create the most effective organizations. Steve has led COE in providing services to our clients.
He began his career in education and then consulting to the power generation industry. As a division director in a prominent technology solutions firm, he provided support in integrating technology into the workplace. Steve has held senior leadership positions in small and large firms. He has served on a White House Committee for Educational Reform, and regularly counsels CEOs, executives, and Political Appointees on organizational effectiveness and strategic issues. Steve has taught at the university level and has served on a number of corporate boards, as well as serving as Chairman of the Board of a 501(c)(3) charity.
Steve holds a BS in Education and an MA in Industrial Management. He currently serves on the Board of the Association of Management Consulting Firms (AMCF) and The Unexpected Stage Theatre Company.

Charlie Crew
Executive Vice President
As Executive Vice President, Charlie is responsible for directing the corporate financial activities, including banking relationships and treasury functions, and for the reporting and measurement systems of the company. He is responsible for leading the investment banking and legal activities, participating in the corporate strategic planning and budget development, as well as developing corporate policies.
Charlie has more than 35 years of management experience in a broad variety of executive and operating roles with both publicly traded and privately-held companies, including managing divisions for Fortune 100 companies. Most recently he served as Executive Vice President and CFO with ServerVault Corp, which was acquired in a private equity transaction. Prior to joining ServerVault, he served in a similar role with IPIX Corp. (NASDAQ: IPIXQ), where he engineered $20 million in private equity financing and achieved SOX compliance for an accelerated SEC filing company. Previously, with Cigital, Inc., Group 1 Software, Inc. (NASDAQ:GSOFT; acquired by Pitney-Bowes, NYSE:PBI) and Penta Systems International, Inc., Charlie held CFO and executive VP-level positions in which he conducted strategic planning, directed numerous mergers and acquisitions, established financial controls, arranged financing and managed international organizations. Additionally, as a financial officer and director of several publicly traded companies, his background includes SEC, Wall Street, banking, board level corporate governance and communication experience.
Charlie holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Baltimore, a Masters degree with concentrations in Finance and Marketing from Loyola College, Baltimore and is a certified public accountant.

Lyn McGee
Vice President, Strategic Development
As Vice President of Strategic Development, Lyn leads our business development and marketing functions and is responsible for driving COE's growth through marketing strategy, partnerships, strategic hiring, and supporting and expanding COE's work in the federal sector. In this leadership role, Lyn will ensure that COE is strongly positioned to deliver management and technology solutions that measurably improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our federal clients. This includes strengthening our partnerships and focusing COE's efforts where we can do the most good for our federal clients, while ensuring achievement of revenue and profitability goals across both COE business units.
With over twenty-four years in business to business sales and marketing in the technology and communications industries, as well as in the public sector, Lyn brings strong communications, management, and marketing experience necessary to build and implement a successful growth strategy for COE. She has significant experience in business development and sales management, product management and marketing, marketing communications, strategic brand development, public speaking, business planning from previous positions at MCI/WorldCom, Qwest, Telarix, and FastTide, Inc. Most recently at Carpathia (formerly ServerVault), Lyn was responsible for defining a suite of highly-secure, federally-compliant managed hosting solutions to enable ServerVault to accelerate its profitable growth as the leading provider of federally-compliant hosting and IT infrastructure services.
Lyn holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Virginia Tech's Pamplin School of Business and earned her CPA in 1987. She is a member of the American Marketing Association and WIT (Women in Technology).

James Bryan
Vice President, Technology Solutions
As Vice President of Technology Solutions, James leads our technology practice which includes the development and support of client technology systems and tools related to organizational effectiveness/performance and human capital. He also oversees GoalOwner, our performance management suite and other new product solutions initiatives. James is responsible for technology strategy, defining the go-to-market approach, sales/marketing, market execution and all aspects of technology development, support and working with customers and partners.
James is a strategic and seasoned
executive with over 23 years of progressive experience and
expertise in portfolio management, strategic partnerships, program and executive
management. His experience spans the public, private and
non-profit sectors. Much of James' career
has focused on HRIT and Disaster Response solutions for organizations such as the American Red Cross, Watson Wyatt Worldwide, Gannett and MCI. James has also had the privilege to speak at numerous CIO conferences around the country.
James holds a BS in Information Systems Management from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.

William Zanow
Vice President, Consulting Solutions
As Vice President
of Consulting Solutions, Bill leads the division of The Center for
Organizational Excellence that advises federal agencies about
organizational improvement and human capital systems. Bill is
responsible for ensuring that COE achieves outcomes that deliver
lasting value by strengthening and expanding our team of experienced
consultants and building our capacity to deliver a wide range of
solutions.
Bill has more
than twenty-three years of public- and private-sector leadership
experience. He has an extensive track record of combining technology
and human capital management to create organizational effectiveness
solutions.
Prior to joining
COE, Bill served for five years as senior Vice President with
Arrowpoint Corporation, a consulting firm specializing in IT and
human capital performance solutions.
Previously, as a
senior program manager at CPS Human Resource Services, a
self-supporting agency of the state of California, he managed the
largest "outsourced" human capital contract ever let by the U.S.
Government. He and his team were responsible for recruiting,
assessing, and hiring 15,000 Transportation Security Administration
employees annually for the nation's 450 airports.
His experience
also includes 20 years as a decorated Army aviation officer with
over 2,000 combat hours as well as leadership positions at
Manchester, Regional Consulting Services, Inc., Star Mountain, Inc.,
and SAIC-American Systems Engineering Corporation - all firms
offering a range of technology, training, and human capital
management services.
Bill holds a
Bachelor of Science degree in business management from Armstrong
Atlantic State University and has a Masters in Science degree in
systems management from the University of Southern California. He is
also a certified Program Management Professional (PMP).
